Acro Gymnastics

Strength, flexibility and tumbling skills

Floor based gymnastics skills taught safely

Acro blends dance with safe partner work, group lifts, limbering and tumbling skills. Children build strength, flexibility and control—from their first cartwheel to walkovers and back handsprings—children are guided by certified teachers in a supportive environment.

What is Acro?

Stardust is certified under Acrobatic Arts, a globally recognised syllabus that breaks learning into clear progressions. We focus on five skill areas—Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering and Tumbling—so every child develops evenly and safely.

Classes are grouped by age and ability. Students are assessed regularly and are invited to move up when they’re ready—no rush, no pressure, just solid foundations and steady progress.

You’ll see professional mats, teacher spotting and age-appropriate drills, plus dance-based pathways so acro skills flow into choreography (not just “tricks”).

What A Class Looks Like

Each Acro class follows a clear, safe structure: a proper warm-up and conditioning, active flexibility to protect growing joints, and level-appropriate skill progressions (from handstands and cartwheels to walkovers an aeriels).

Teachers use mats, spotting and gentle guidence so children learn correct technique and feel proud of every new skill acheived. We finish by combining skills into short dance sequences and invite dances to particulate in a yearly Acro showcase.
