Lyrical Competition Teams blend the expressive heart of lyrical dance with a structured training pathway geared toward performance and competitions. This programme is designed for dancers ready to deepen technique, teamwork and artistic maturity in a supportive, positive environment.
Our Competition Team is not another weekly class — it’s a progressive performance pathway for dancers who already participate in weekly lyrical or classical ballet classes and want to take their dancing to the next level.
In addition to their regular classes our team trains an extra 2 hours per week on Fridays 5:15pm-7:15pm. Our dedicated training sessions give our dancers the chance to deepen their strength, skills, flexability and technique while still allowing time to learn and rehearse challenging choreoganhy ready for upcoming competitions and performances.
Students who sucsesfully gain a place on our team will have the opportunity to compete in dance competitions around Cambridgeshire and the surrounding counties. Our team is also given extra performance opportunities including performing in our annual shows and at local events with their teammates creating fantastic memories and strong friendships.

We focus on building strong foundations while developing techneque and performance skills.
Sustained work on strength, alignment and control with choreography that challenges dancers
Deeper connection to music, dynamics and storytelling in performance.
Working together toward shared goals builds resilience, strong friendships and performance confidence.

Each competition team training session follows a clear, familiar structure so dancers feel confident, focused and ready to work together.
Sessions are longer and more focused than recreational classes, but always supportive and age-appropriate — building technique, artistry and performance skills step by step.
We aim for our competitive dancers to leave each training session knowing that they’re improving and feeling supported as part of a team. We aim for steady progress our dancers can see and feel over time.
