Street Dance

Cool routines, floor work and freestyle

confidence and musicality

Street Dance classes for children aged 2½–13 in Northstowe and Arbury, Cambridge. Classes run at Northstowe Secondary College, Northstowe Unity Centre and Arbury Community Centre — mixing hip-hop foundations, commercial choreography and freestyle into high-energy, upbeat sessions that build confidence and musicality.

What are Street Classes?

Street Dance at Stardust teaches basic foundation steps, foot work, floor work and combines it all into fun, high energy routines.

You’ll see a blend of hip hop foundations (groove, footwork, isolations), popping/locking basics, house-influenced steps and commercial combinations. Classes use clear progressions so dancers know exactly what to practise and how to improve.

Our approach is inclusive. We adapt where helpful, explain the “why” as well as the “how”, and encourage personal style — so every dancer feels seen, safe and proud of their progress.

What A Class Looks Like

Each class follows a simple structure: fun, high energy warm-up, then footwork, isolations and floor work before moving onto short across-the-floor exercises, combinations and routines so dancers connect technique to real choreography.

There’s even space for safe freestyle opportunities — allowing students to share and practice their own favourite moves.
