Tap Dance

Rhythm, musicality and crisp footwork

Let's make some noise!

Tap turns your feet into an instrument. Dancers learn clear sounds, timing and patterns — from first shuffles to time steps, riffs and fun routines.

What are Tap Classes?

Tap builds musicality and coordination. We start with a warm up and ankle/foot articulation, then layer in basic sounds and clear counting so rhythms feel natural.

As confidence grows, dancers learn patterns and progressions: shuffles, flaps, digs, pickups, time steps, riffs and turns — plus dynamics (light and shade), accents and syncopation. We connect technique to music your child recognises so practice is enjoyable.

Our approach is inclusive. We adapt where helpful, explain the why as well as the how, and encourage personal style — so every dancer feels seen and proud of their progress.

What A Class Looks Like

Each class follows a simple structure: warm up including ankle/foot articulation, then technique blocks for core sounds and technical steps before we add across-the-floor drills and short combinations so dancers connect steps to real music.
