The NUTCRACKER BALLET Class Beginner Kids Dance routines to music

hello everyone it's miss hannah from stardust and thank you for joining me today for an extra special nutcracker themed ballet class so the nutcracker is one of my favorite ballets to go and watch around christmas time so i really hope you enjoy learning a little bit more about the story and some of the beautiful dances in today's class so when you're ready jump up on your feet

find a big space and let's get started so to start off our story a little girl called clara and her brother frips decorate the christmas tree at their house on christmas eve ready for a big party so we're going to warm up our toes by pretending to decorate our very own christmas tree so we're going to pretend to have a basket full of decorations and we're going

to pick one out and then go up on our toes and place it on your christmas tree perfect and then we'll switch hands and we can put more decorations on our christmas tree lovely and then you can decide what you want to go on the top of your christmas tree i'm gonna put a big star on the top of mine so we reach up beautiful and then

we're gonna go on our tiptoes hold your dress if you've got one or hands on your waist and tiptoe around your christmas tree and then we're going to do some ballerina runs around our christmas tree up on those tiptoes wonderful so feet in parallel position get your basket of christmas decorations ready are you ready [Music] good job let's walk around our christmas tree on your tiptoes well

done let's do that again are you [Music] ready switch hands [Music] and a big star for the top stretch [Music] wow beautiful job decorating your christmas trees boys and girls now it's time for the party so lots of their friends come to their house for their christmas eve party and they do lots of dancing so if you've got a partner at home to dance with you can

hold hands maybe you've got your brother or sister with you today or maybe your grown-up wants to dance with you or you could pick your favorite toy maybe you've got a teddy bear or a dolly that would like to dance with you so you're going to hold hands with your partner and if you haven't got one you can just pretend like me and we're going to do

a little gallop to the side so you're going to hold hands and we're going to gallop to the side good and then the other way big gallop wow and again big gap beautiful four times and then can you twirl your partner around so swing your partner around perfect should we do the party dance together [Music] good and spin and the other end good job let's do that

again put your toes ready for a big gallon to the side gal up [Music] perfect well done everyone now clara's godfather comes to the party and he gives her a special present which is a toy nutcracker and he's dressed as a soldier and clara loves this present so much and at the end of the party she takes him upstairs and puts him on her pillow next to

her as she falls asleep can you pretend to fall asleep like me good but then clara hears a noise and it wakes her up and she can't see her nutcracker anymore so let's go downstairs to see if we can find him we're gonna go on our toes we have to be really quiet [Music] now let's look in the kitchen we open the door we'll have a look

[Music] but he's not there so let's have a look in the drawing room up on your toes open the door have a look good for clara sees her christmas tree start to grow will you show me how tall you can grow up on your toes can you grow talk [Music] and up [Music] good job everybody then all of a sudden little mice start to run around the

christmas tree at clara's feet so do you think you boys and girls can run like a little mouse we're going to start with our little mouse pause and we're going to do four bounces one two three and four and then you're gonna run very quietly round one one one one one one one round and again bounce for one two three four go the other way round round

run run run run run good job and then fritz's toy soldiers come to life so can you stand really tall hands on your waist heads up tall and we're gonna lift our knees really high to march like a soldier good job everyone so we'll be our little mice and then our toy soldiers here we go [Music] up on those tick toes good and remember to be really

quiet like a little mouse and up on those toes one more time [Music] great job everybody now the toy soldiers are going to come to life so hands on your waist heads up really tall and lift up those knees oh lovely soldier marches today great job can we march all the way round good job and on the spot heads up tall hands on your waist very good

and can you march around the other way keep those knees up high nice job everyone well done [Music] now the toy soldiers and the mice have a big battle and then clara's twin nutcracker comes to life and he helps the toy soldiers and then clara joins in and she helps defeat the mouse king and as a thank you the nutcracker takes clara back to his kingdom suddenly

clara finds herself in a beautiful snowy magical kingdom and snowflake fairies dance all around clara and the nutcracker so let's have some falling snow good can you wiggle your fingers like snowflakes falling oh good and we're gonna rock [Music] and twirl [Music] and the other way beautiful snow fairies one more time beautiful and they curtsy to clara and the nutcracker or you can do a beautiful bow

beautiful can you show me your fairy wings wow we're gonna try them with a rice beautiful lovely and a big twirl snow fairies [Music] oh the snow fairies were beautiful now next the nutcracker tells clara that he wants to take her to meet the sugarplum fairy in her castle so they go sailing in a boat and they sail down a river made of melted chocolate so we're

gonna go sailing we're gonna pretend we're in a boat and we're gonna rock side to side will you dance along with me ready big sails [Music] stretch you can hold your dresses or put your hands on your waist let's sail a little more good that's it rocking side to side heels together in first position [Music] beautiful now the sugar plum fairy is so pleased to have guests

and that clara and the nutcracker have come to visit her that she puts on a beautiful show for them and she does her own very special dance so boys and girls if you've got a magic wand at home would you like to run and find it now because i'm going to teach you the dance of the sugar plum fairy wonderful i hope you've all found a magic

wand to dance with if you didn't don't worry because you could pretend you've got a magic wand or use ribbons or scarves or anything you want to for this dance so when the music starts we're going to gently flap our wings like we're a beautiful fairy lovely then we're going to take our arms up and open and then we're either going to put our hand on our

waist or hold your skirt two demi plies bend and stretch bend and stretch point to the side close in first point and close beautiful we then do our lovely arms again but this time we get to sprinkle magic fairy dust on our toes so point one foot forwards wow and then the other one sprinkle magic fairy dust perfect shall we try that much together with the music

flap those wings beautiful ready for two please bend stretch bend stretch and okay arms up and [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] that's looking so beautiful so far everybody well done now for the next part of the sugar plum fairy dance i want you boys and girls at home to use your magic wands just spread magic fairy dust everywhere in your house so if you're dancing in your lounge

you can run and sprinkle magic fairy dust on your sofa on your chairs everywhere you go perfect and then we're gonna spin in a big circle and then we're going to spread our fairy dust side to side that's it and can you point your toes as you rock side to side with me and then we're going to spread it in rainbows above our heads beautiful well done

and then we'll spin and then we'll have our lovely magic wings and we get to start the whole thing from the beginning and that's the whole of my sugar plum fairy dance should we try it together from the beginning so ready flap those wings beautiful arms [Music] arms [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] are you ready to spread your magic fairy dust shake those magic wands run around berries

wow very good side to side beautiful imagine you're sprinkling that sparkly magic [Music] and your magic fairy wins [Music] stretchy toes arms [Music] magic fairy dust sprinkle it on your toes [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] wow you are so good at the sugar plum fairy dance everybody i think we should do that one one more time and you can sprinkle some extra fairy dust around your house wave

those ones beautiful [Music] very good it looks beautiful are you ready the arms again are you ready to put magic fairy dust on your toes [Music] sprinkle it around your house whoa that's sick shake those magic wands and side to side [Applause] wow very lovely are you ready [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] standing tall ready to please [Applause] [Music] dust on your tongue [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] wow

that was so beautiful boys and girls very well done now next as a special performance for clara all of the sugar plum fairy's friends come and do a very special dance for her and it's the waltz of the flowers so you can use your magic wand again for this dance or if you've got a flower at home like me that you can dance with you can use

it now we're going to hold our flower or our magic wand in both hands and our feet are going to be in first position beautiful we're gonna do two demi plies can you practice with me bend and stretch bend and stretch then you're going to show your flower forwards bring it back to your heart and turn on your toes we do it again plie and stretch plie

and stretch forwards backwards turn lovely and then we're gonna float our flower and we're gonna look at it bring it in and change hands look at it beautiful that's it look at your gorgeous flower as it floats through the air wonderful let's have a try with music ready bend stretch flowers forwards in turn bend stretch wave and into your heart beautiful check those feet are in first

position very beautiful well done now the next part's my favorite part we're gonna do a lovely big step reach your flower up and stretch your back foot behind you then we're going to face the front point and close good let's try the other side because it's a bit tricky stretch face the front point and close good we're gonna do that four times and then we're gonna add

a twirl so we're gonna stretch and then as we bring our flower into our hearts we're gonna turn lovely and stretch and twirl wow very beautiful and then i think you can follow along with me for the ending shall we try the whole dance the waltz of the flowers ready play and stretch [Music] see if you can look up at your gorgeous flower wonderful are you ready

for my favorite part [Music] [Applause] [Music] beautiful everyone [Music] [Applause] lovely [Music] this is so beautiful [Music] position ready for the big steps [Music] [Applause] gorgeous [Music] that was so beautiful malavinas well done but now it's time for clara to go back home because we've reached the end of today's story so standing nice and tall we can practice our curtsies or our bows step to the side
